Elizabeth Hood is a Coloratura Soprano currently residing in Toledo, Ohio. She is a current section leader of the Toledo Opera’s Chorus and can be seen in upcoming Toledo Opera productions including Porgy and Bess and Romeo et Juliette. She is a recent graduate from Bowling Green State University with her Masters degree in Vocal Performance. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theater from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
A multi-faceted performer, Elizabeth has extensive stage experience both in the realms of classical and musical theater repertoire. She has been seen performing across the country as well as internationally, performing the roles of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro in Italy as well as the famed Königin der Nacht in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in Germany this past summer.
Upon returning from Germany, Elizabeth was invited to portray the Queen of the Night once more as a featured guest artist with University of Toledo’s touring production of The Magic Flute. Future engagements include performing the Queen yet again for the “Opera On Wheels” touring children’s opera as a Resident Artist with the Toledo Opera in the Fall of 2016.
